As part of the Corporate and Technology Accounting group and a large global accounting team, you will be responsible for the accounting related to various aspects of Sabre’s Corporate and Technology Accounting activities. In this position, you will have the opportunity to interact with a broad and diverse group that includes Finance, Business Ops, Real Estate, Internal Audit and our External auditors. This position will report to the Manager of Accounting.

Responsibilities of the Accountant II include:
- Completion of month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts & resolving related issues
- Prepare quarterly balance sheet fluctuation analysis for Fixed Assets
- Prepare monthly Technology Accounting reporting such as the Rollforward, Retirement Report, Detailed Capital Spend, and All Assets Report
- Responsible for Appropriation Request (capital expenditures) support and set up in SAP
- Calculate, accrue and place in service capitalized interest for assets under construction
- Assist with capitalizing fixed assets, write-offs and other updates as needed
- Participate / lead testing of fixed asset module related to entity integrations into SAP
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors in their quarter/ annual audits as well as supporting SOX certification process
- Reviews financial data for accuracy; identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations
- Cross train on other functional areas as needed
- Perform special projects as needed.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor degree required (Masters preferred)
- CPA or parts passed preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 4 years accounting experience
- E-commerce or travel industry experience a plus
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Specific skills:
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including comfort with the use of pivot tables, vlookups, and other advanced formula inputs and hot keys
- SAP financial systems experience a plus
General skills:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, written and verbal
- Candidate must be detail oriented and accurate with good mathematical, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively & efficiently within given timelines
- Detail-oriented with both the ambition and willingness to dive into the details necessary to accomplish responsibilities and solve problems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
