Team Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Contributor, Lodging, Ground and Sea, based in Sabre’s Montevideo office to support and enhance Sabre’s relationships with our key Lodging suppliers globally. Working under general direction of the Director LGS Supply this role will be closely supporting their assigned accounts with the resolution of issues, implementation of new Sabre products and projects defined by the suppliers. The individual will be communicating directly with our lodging customers and utilize advanced subject and technical knowledge to support all phases of project life cycles or until technical issues are being resolved. A key member of the Sabre Global Lodging, Ground & Sea (LGS) Team, this role will also assist the LGS Product Managers and Development Teams with to determine the viability of customer-driven requests as well as the rollout of new API’s on the Supply side. Strong communications skills and a willingness to make a difference for our key Lodging, Ground & Sea customers is must to develop a stronger, more collaborative relationship with these customers whilst Sabre is going through a transformation of its system and services.
Role and Responsiblities
Demonstrates broad knowledge of the functional area. Exercises independent judgment and applies advanced skills, concepts, practices and procedures to complete several small to medium projects or a complex component of a large project.
Provides account management services to new and emerging supply partners
Works with suppliers on connectivity and provides guidance to and other internal customers.
Works with assigned accounts to drive market share and booking growth initiatives.
Communicates frequently with suppliers to support their strategy, business needs and objectives
Acts as an escalation point for suppliers to help them through the resolution path of technical issues that may occur. May be assigned escalation support for critical supplier issues outside of managed account portfolio.
Monitor supplier performance and advise on possible improvements
Coordinate across different channels: Demand, Product Development and Operations teams to drive the suppliers’ performance
Establish positive relationship in order to support the smooth implementation of new products and solutions within the Sabre platforms
Nurture customer relations and coordinate with various functional teams within Sabre to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner
Receives general direction on assignments, with minimal review.
Decisions have impact on success of project team, department, work group, and/or our Supply partners.
This role is recognized as an expert by internal and external peers.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Has 5 years of Travel Industry Experience
Has deep understanding of Sabre Core GDS functionality in Lodging
Has ideally a Help Desk or Technical Sales Background
Has a solid understanding of the Car Rental, Rail and Cruise industry
Has a deep understanding of Web Services and API’s
Has exceptional communications skills, written and verbally
Has experience in working for a fast paced, matrix driven global organization
Has inherent curiosity to become an expert in Sabre’s Ground & Sea business
Has passion for the industry, and wants to take partnerships to the next level
Has a strategic mindset and solution orientation
Has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Is fluent in English
Has conversational skills in Spanish and ideally Portuguese
Proven track record of successful client service across multiple geographies and cultures
Excellent oral and written skills and a commitment to ensuring stakeholders are always advised of project/relationship status versus deliverable timetables
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams within a matrix organization with superb internal and external customer relationship-building
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple initiatives and activities
A self-starter who is highly motivated
Travel may be required infrequently.
