Main Purpose
Our two-year graduate development programme is designed to provide you with a structured series of rotations across our core trading business, in areas such as Deals Desk, Operations, and Trade Finance.
You will have the opportunity to complete three 8-month rotations, all based in Montevideo, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the business, and opening a future of unlimited opportunities within the Trafigura group.
The company working schedule is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM from Monday to Friday on-site. For foreign candidates we provide support with your relocation. This is a paid position (confidential salary). Interviews will take place on June 2025 and the programme will start on October 2025.
Key Responsibilities, knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Young professionals who graduated in 2024 or soon to graduate in 2025 from university.
0-2 years of postgraduate working experience.
English (B2/C1) and Spanish (C1/C2), oral and written required.
Dynamic and upbeat personality.
Ability to take initiatives.
Problem solving and analytical thinking.
Outstanding communication.

Key Responsibilities:
Deals Desk:
Analysis of risks, trading P&L and exposures for key management control of all international and domestic trading strategies.
Production/management of all daily reports to support this function including delta changes, deal economics, price exposure, hedge requirements and ad hoc management reporting.
Appropriate hedging actions are taken against the business physical positions to mitigate price risk, among others.
Data integrity control – update business data.
Operations:
Handle the commercial physical products operations for the company in several regions and give support to the trading desk by coordinating the execution of the commercial contracts in the most efficient way.
Following-up on contracts.
Coordinating invoice entry with accounting.
Conducting weekly and monthly reports of the operation and connecting with different Contractual Operations Counterparts.
Trade Finance:
Connect with banks in order to finance the transactions.
Mitigate credit and performance exposure of third parties.
Optimize finance costs. Ensure that the team is not accountable for any losses as a result of not being properly financed.
Core partnerships include Banking partners, external counterparties, Traders, Operations, Deals Desk, Treasury, Credit and Compliance.
