Junior People Advisor

As the People Advisor for Uruguay, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, and own the end-to-end People matters, including for example local implementations of global People initiatives, Culture, Values and Engagement agendas, compliance for all global policies and local law / policies, local learning and local leadership and employees coaching/guidance. You will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services and programs to support the organization's goals and objectives. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of HR best practices and compliance regulations specific to Uruguay.
Tasks and Responsibilities
People Partnering Model
Ensure smooth cooperation with Divisional People Partners, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and People Operations.
Provide input to processes and ways of working where applicable.
Actively drive change within the People teams.
Collaborate with the People Counsel team when needed.
Employee Relations
Serve as the point of contact and local subject matter expert for employee relations matters.
Manage conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure compliance and maintain positive employee relations.
Recruitment, Onboarding & Offboarding
Partner with Talent Acquisition to scout and build relationships with key local stakeholders for recruitment.
Oversee the physical onboarding and offboarding of employees on-site, working closely with the line manager, Talent Acquisition team, and relevant Divisional Partner.
Compliance, Risk Management, HR Policies, and Health & Safety
Stay up to date on country, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with relevant legislation.
Partner with Compliance and Risk to ensure employee data integrity and implement relevant training programs.
Ensure Health & Safety compliance requirements are met, building local competencies (either through People teams or Office Leads).
Support grievance and investigation management when needed.
Culture & Values
Work with local Functional Leaders to understand and translate business needs into people, culture, and organizational actions.
Implement local values activation plans and hybrid working strategies.
Engagement, CSR & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
Lead engagement, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and DEI initiatives locally.
Implement programs to enhance employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
Partner with the Unit People Partner to gather employee insights and address areas for improvement.
Identify ways to engage both on-site and remote employees.
Benefits Administration
Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other fringe benefits.
Work closely with benefits vendors, brokers, and the People Operations team.
Training & Development
Support local training and development programs as needed.
Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to deliver training initiatives.
Work with the Country People Advisory Manager when necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in HRM or related field, or experience equivalent Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience Sound knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations specific to the country Customer in centricity, high-level communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant HR software applications. Proficiency in Excel English fluent; Additional languages considered a plus.
Work Modality
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m I On site.
