Main purpose
To prepare accurate Clean Trial Balances (Local & Group) for Trafigura entities and provide comprehensive support for accounting, cost management, and reporting processes. This includes general ledger entries, accruals, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and monthly group reporting.
Key responsibilities
Manage and oversee reports of all types.
Report monthly balances with commentary and explanation of variances.
Provide highlights and review tax positions.
Monitor the transfer pricing model and margins maintained in the local entity.
Coordinate external audits, support audit fieldwork, and assist in the preparation of Financial Statements.
Prepare Exposure Reports for Management, including assessment of whether provisions are required.
Stay informed of new contracts, structures, and business developments to evaluate their accounting impact.
Act as the primary point of contact with upstream teams while providing support to the local team.
Support the preparation of the Trial Balance for reporting purposes.
Provide support during system and software development, testing, and implementation phases.
Adapt as needed to assist with ad hoc tasks, including document support and audit requirements.
Required qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
Prior experience at a Big 4 firm is desirable.
Knowledge of Alteryx and Power BI is desirable.
Understanding of IFRS.
Fluent level of Spanish, advanced or equivalent to C2.
Good level of English, intermediate or equivalent to B2.
