FinOps Lead
About Rebill
Rebill is the financial infrastructure platform for the Americas.
Companies in software, AI, travel and digital services use Rebill to operate across Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and the United States: local payments, installments, recurring billing, stablecoin rails, treasury, global payouts and financial operations in one platform.
Rebill is backed by Tiger Global, Y Combinator (W22), Soma Capital and SV Angel, and angels including Guillermo Rauch (Vercel) and Arash Ferdowsi (Dropbox).
About the role
Rebill runs entities in several countries, an accounting firm in each of them, accounts across multiple banks and a growing base of vendors. Monthly closes already run on agents. What’s missing is one person who owns the financial operation end to end and who understands how a payments business makes, and loses, money.
We are not looking for someone to close the books by hand. We want someone who knows payments economics well enough to spot when a margin is wrong, and who can automate well enough that it doesn’t happen again.
What you will own
Pricing and commercial margin: You build and maintain the cost model behind every deal: processing, FX spread, installments, taxes, settlement. You review pricing before it goes to a merchant and track realized margin by merchant and country after it does. When a deal erodes margin, you are the first to know and the one who says it.
Cost control: Processing and FX costs reconciled against provider billing, every month. Variances explained, not absorbed.
The monthly close: The agents already close. Your job is to make them faster and more accurate: review outputs, catch failures, fix rules and code, cut close days and manual exceptions. You will work in Python on the pipeline that runs it.
Procurement, from request to payment: Design and run the process: requests, approvals, vendor onboarding, payment calendar and execution across entities and currencies.
Accounting firms: They are critical vendors and you manage them as such: deliverables, deadlines, quality, cost and tax obligations in each country.
Banks and admin: Account openings, KYC/KYB, signatories and powers of attorney, bank requests, and the admin that today lands on the founders.
What we are looking for
3 to 5 years in finance, FinOps or control, with at least 2 inside a payments company: PSP, acquirer, payfac, cross-border or a fintech with its own processing.
You understand payments economics: MDR, interchange, FX spread, installments, chargebacks, settlement. You can tell whether a deal makes money before it is signed.
You have built or owned a pricing or margin model, not just reported on one.
Python and SQL. You have automated something real, and you use AI tools and agents daily.
Strong reconciliation and multi-currency skills.
High level of English. You work in English with banks, vendors and the founders every day.
Background in accounting, economics, engineering or similar.
Based in Uruguay, able to work from Zonamerica at least 3 days a week.
Nice to have
Experience in LatAm cross-border operations or FX/treasury.
Procurement or accounts payable in multi-country structures.
Working Portuguese for Brazil.
Work arrangement
Hybrid work model
Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
What we offer
Competitive package.
Direct access to the founders, no layers in between.
Real room to build: the process is yours to design.
