Main Purpose
Are you passionate about numbers and financial accuracy? As a Financial Reporting Accountant at Trafigura, you will be at the core of our LATAM financial operations — ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial data that drives business decisions across the region. You will prepare accurate Clean Trial Balances (Local & Group) for Trafigura entities and provide comprehensive support for accounting, cost management, and reporting processes, including general ledger entries, accruals, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and monthly group reporting.
Knowledge & Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis
Proven work experience with internal and/or external audits
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English (B2 or above)
Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to navigate and utilize multiple systems simultaneously
Strong team player, equally capable of working independently
Flexible and proactive approach to work
Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities
Manage and prepare various financial and operational reports
Support the preparation of Trial Balances for local and group reporting purposes
Maintain data management controls to ensure compliance with data accuracy standards
Perform account reconciliations, including detailed analysis and coordination with internal teams and external third parties
Document work processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
Execute and follow up on administrative tasks to support departmental operations
Participate in system and software development projects, including testing and implementation phases
Provide flexible support for ad-hoc requirements, including documentation support and audit requests
