Main Purpose
Support the execution and maintenance of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) program across Trafigura and group companies in the Americas. This role is essential to ensuring organizational resilience and operational continuity by developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive business continuity plans that protect Trafigura's trading operations and stakeholder interests across the region.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum 5 years of business and IT experience in multinational organizations
Minimum 3 years of hands-on Business Continuity Management (BCM) experience
Proven track record supporting BCM programs in multi-site environments
Experience in commodities trading, financial services, or similarly regulated industries (preferred)
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of Business Continuity Management practices and international standards
Working knowledge of mid-office and back-office operations in trading environments
Language Requirements:
English: Fluent (written and verbal) - highly desirable
Spanish: Fluent (written and verbal) – mandatory
Communication & Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with business leaders and support teams
Training delivery and facilitation capabilities
Personal Attributes:
Self-motivated with high degree of initiative and accountability
Resilient under pressure with calm demeanor during crisis situations
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned goals
Key Responsibilities
Business Recovery Plan Ownership
Assume full ownership and management of assigned business recovery plans
Ensure plans remain current, tested, and aligned with business needs through annual reviews and updates as changes occur
Business Impact Analysis (BIA) Support
Provide guidance and support to business leaders on Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and recovery planning activities
Facilitate BIA workshops and interviews with key stakeholders to identify critical business functions and dependencies
Global Framework Implementation
Support the implementation and maintenance of Trafigura's global BCM framework across Americas business units
Work with global BCP team and remote locations as a service provider, ensuring adherence to global BCP/BCM standards
Testing and Training Coordination
Schedule, attend, coordinate, and conduct planned business continuity tests and exercises; document test results, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
Develop and deliver overview presentations and training sessions internally to ensure continued awareness and preparedness
